The CSBM language Centre began with the inauguration of the program Business English for Professionals in 2021. This new venture was initiated based on the needs of the business sector for training in better communication skills in English.
At the inauguration our Chief Guest Dr. Ajith Colonne shared how he developed his language skills from a very basic level to what he has today. On the panel discussion present was the resource for the program - Ms. Dilrukshi Rajapaskha, Toastmaster & Corporate Trainer, Ms. Layangi Jayasekera, English language specialist and Ms. Krishani Hewavisenti, Consultant & Corporate Trainer for CSBM.
Due to the tremendous success and popularity of the program many batches have been scheduled thereafter, servicing the corporate sector and the general workforce, bridging the gap in English language fluency requirements.
CSBM was awarded the English Language program from CINEC campus early this year, named English Express. The program was designed according to IELTS standards with pre-and post-evaluation to ascertain progress. The purpose of this program was to support the undergraduates in their language requirements to be more successful throughout their chosen degree within the campus. The student body of nearly 800 have been enrolled in this program which is being conducted at a basic 60hrs and advanced level 30 hrs.
