Mode: Online/Physical Classes

Overview:

With the increasing incidence of stress in society and breakdown of traditional family support systems, there’s a growing demand for professional psychologists with counselling exposure in social, medical, education, vocational, and industrial institutions. Psychologists try to describe, predict, and explain human behavior and mental processes, as well as help change and improve the lives of people and the world in which they live.

An understanding of psychology can be applied in many different fields, such as teaching, counselling, health and community services, marketing, management and training. On the other hand, counselling is a practice originated from humanistic and existential psychology, with counsellors/counselling psychologists seeking to improve clients’ well-being through a variety of means, the most important of which is the helping relationship.

This Diploma in Counselling and Psychology provide the participants with a thorough grounding in the theory and application of both psychology and counselling. The emphasis is on innovation and learning through a variety of styles that have widespread use, while developing key skills and relevant practical experience. The counselling skills you gain will provide a basis for further study and training in counselling. Your professional project will allow you to explore an area of psychology of your choice while offering more choice in terms of career options than many other educational qualifications.
